MOSCOW, Dec 28 - RIA Novosti. Russia is negotiating the creation of joint ventures for the production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on the territory of foreign customers, the press secretary of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSVTS) of Russia, Valeria Reshetnikova, said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
"The Russian side is ready to create joint ventures, including with technology transfer. Negotiations on this topic are in an active phase," she said.
At the same time, the spokeswoman added that the organization of licensed assembly of Russian UAVs on the territory of a foreign customer is directly related to the amount of equipment purchased.
"This approach is due to the economic feasibility and profitability of their production," the official representative explained.
According to Reshetnikova, over the past few years, the FSVTS has received a significant number of requests from foreign customers for the purchase of UAVs, while foreign partners are interested in organizing centers for the assembly and repair of devices on their territory, and are interested in training their specialists.
