Roscosmos: the launch of the Nauka and Berth modules can be called the main achievement of 2021
In a publication on its official website, Roscosmos named the main achievements of the state corporation in 2021.
"Correcting some shortcomings of the past years, Russia is actively completing its segment of the International Space Station. The delivery to orbit with an interval of four months of two modules - "Science" and "Berth" - can be called the main achievement of Roscosmos this year,"the message says.
According to Roscosmos, "having successfully solved these far from trivial tasks, the industry gains the confidence necessary for future breakthroughs in manned cosmonautics."
The Soyuz-2.1b rocket with the Progress M-UM transport cargo ship and the Berth node module launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome to the ISS on November 24.
In July, a Proton-M rocket with the Nauka module, which was originally planned to be launched in 2007, was launched from Baikonur to the International Space Station.
