The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation will soon receive a new batch of T-72B3M. The tanks were overhauled at Uralvagonzavod, which is part of the UVZ Concern (Rostec State Corporation).
According to the press service of the enterprise, the military equipment has passed comprehensive tests and was accepted by the customer according to the terms of the contract.
If we compare these combat vehicles with conventional T-72B, then literally all their characteristics have been improved. In particular, a new fire control system has been installed, including a modern sighting system with a thermal imager, a digital ballistic computer, which significantly increases accuracy.
Missiles of the guided weapons system can hit targets not only from the spot, but also while moving, at any time of the day, with a probability of almost one hundred percent.
Noise immunity and secrecy of data transmission are provided by modern means of communication.
The V-92S2F engine has a power of 1130 hp. The driver's seat is equipped with a special display, which displays the parameters of the chassis systems.
The new protection significantly increased survivability in various types of combat, including in populated areas, with the mass use of various anti-tank weapons.
Also last week, armored repair and evacuation vehicles BRAM-1M, developed on the basis of the T-90 tank, were shipped to the customer.
They are equipped with multi-fuel diesel engines V-92S2 with a capacity of 1000 hp. The maximum speed on the highway is at least 60 km / h. The power reserve, including additional barrels, is 700 km.
To evacuate tanks and other vehicles, a winch with an increased traction force of up to 35 tons is installed on board. The lifting capacity of the hydraulic crane is up to 20 tons. There is an electric welding machine for carrying out repair work. An autonomous 12.7 mm anti-aircraft machine gun is used as a weapon.
