Russian Spring: attack helicopters of the Russian Aerospace Forces flew to the borders of Turkey and Jordan
The strike forces of the Russian Aerospace Forces headed for the borders of Turkey and Jordan. This is reported by the correspondent of the publication "Russian Spring".
"The transfer to the province of Hasakeh was carried out as part of large-scale maneuvers of the Russian Aerospace Forces, which were previously reported by the military commanders of the RV," he said.
The day before, the second and final stage of the maneuvers started, during which the following issues are being worked out: reconnaissance by Ka-52 and Mi-8 crews at night using night vision devices; search and rescue activities using aviation; air strikes on terrorist shelters in the desert, as well as the duty of Su-34 fighter-bombers along the Syrian-Jordanian border.
Earlier it became known that Russian multi-purpose vehicles of the Mi-8 /Mi-17 family became the second in the world ranking of popularity of military helicopters, published in Flight Global magazine. The study noted that the global fleet of Mi-8/Mi-17 helicopters has about 3,000 vehicles. The share of Russian helicopters is 14 percent of the total number of military helicopters in the world.
