The State Military Industry of Belarus announced the testing of the SMAR-100BPM machine gun
Tests of new weapons have been completed in Belarus. A new SMAR-100BPM submachine gun and SCR-1200M rifle were tested on the basis of the 5th Separate Special Purpose Brigade. This is reported by The State Military-Industrial Committee of Belarus.
The SMAR-100BPM submachine gun is based on the design of the VSK-100 submachine gun, which was adopted. The new weapon was built according to the "bullpup" scheme with the location of the trigger in front of the firing mechanism and the magazine. SMAR-100BPM was first demonstrated at the MILEX-2019 exhibition.
The mass of the development of the scientific and technical cluster "Ustye" is 4.3 kilograms. The aiming range reaches 500 meters. The State Military Industry noted that in the upgraded machine, the designers improved the alignment and halved the time for replacing the magazine. The machine has received an enlarged overlay, which allows you to install new sighting devices.
The capabilities of the SCR-1200M rifle were also evaluated during research tests. The deep modernization of the Dragunov sniper rifle received a telescopic stock and a Picatinny rail for the installation of sighting devices.
In November, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian marines will receive new submachine guns. Units of the Pacific and Black Sea Fleets will receive AK-12.
