To increase the level of fire training of soldiers and officers now helps not only more advanced small arms, but also special targets that allow you to create a realistic picture of modern combat on the ranges.
For example, on the training fields in Buryatia, the military now shoot not at plywood shields, vaguely resembling an advancing infantryman, a machine-gun point on the parapet or enemy armored vehicles. PVC silhouettes with the shape and size corresponding to the real goals began to be used as targets. To make them more reliable, they also applied volumetric graphics to the targets.
For the training of grenade throwers and sniper pairs, special pickup truck-type simulators with a narrow viewing window on the vehicle were installed at the training grounds. That is, it is not enough for an arrow to just hit such a target. It is desirable that a shot from a distance of half a kilometer fell precisely into the vulnerable spot of the enemy car and guaranteed to disable it.
Commanders say that such changes in the organization of fire training have made this discipline much more interesting for soldiers and contributed to the rise of their rifle training.
As for the use of new small arms, everything is fine with this, too. For example, in the same Eastern Military District, more precisely, in the combined arms army stationed in the Trans-Baikal Territory, all machine-gun units were equipped with a manual "Pecheneg" of various modifications. This machine gun produces 650 rounds per minute and can use the entire range of existing rifle cartridges of 7.62 mm caliber. Compared with the upgraded PCM, which was replaced by the Pecheneg, the new model has almost twice the accuracy of firing and survivability of the barrel.
In addition, there is a system of forced air cooling of the barrel due to the energy of powder gases. This makes it possible to operate the Pecheneg in any climatic conditions of the Far East. And the variant with the letter "H" combines the firepower of an easel machine gun with the maneuverability of a manual one and provides for the installation of additional tactical modules on the weapon.
