MOSCOW, December 23. /tass/. The crew of the Project 20385 Agile multipurpose corvette, which was damaged during a fire on December 17 at the Severnaya Shipyard, will be distributed to other ships under construction. This was reported to TASS by a source close to the military department.
"The team of the corvette "Agile", formed from the sailors of the 114th brigade of the OVRA (protection of the water area - approx. TASS) for the development of this ship, it will be disbanded and sent to serve on other units of a similar project," the agency interlocutor said.
He noted that before the fire on the corvette, the crew had been preparing for service on this ship for two months. The ship was to be part of the Joint Command of Forces in the north-east of Russia and stationed in Kamchatka.
TASS has no official confirmation of this information.
The fire on the "Agile" corvette under construction in St. Petersburg did not lead to damage to the hull, the superstructure of the ship is subject to dismantling. Negotiations are underway on the construction of a new superstructure.
The Agile is a Navy guided missile corvette, the second in a series of Project 20385 corvettes. The transfer of the corvette to the fleet was scheduled for the end of 2022. The Gremyashchy corvette is also currently being built at the Severnaya Shipyard. The basis of the corvettes' armament is the anti-ship and anti-aircraft missile systems "Uranus" and "Redoubt".
