MOSCOW, December 22. /tass/. The Kronstadt company has created a center for the production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of aircraft and helicopter types in Dubna near Moscow. This was reported to journalists on Wednesday in the press service of the company.
"Construction and installation works have been completed in the production building of Russia's first specialized serial factory of large-size unmanned aerial vehicles. Construction took place from April to December 2021, this is the first aviation plant built in post-Soviet Russia," the report says.
Kronshtadt JSC noted that the Center is a single industrial site with a total area of more than 50 hectares, where the main production workshops of Kronshtadt JSC and the Dubna Machine-Building Plant named after N. P. Fedorov (DMZ), which is part of it, are located."
"At the enterprise, built at Kronstadt's own expense, there are three workshops - a site for the manufacture of parts and accessories made of composite materials and a painting department; an aggregate assembly workshop; a final assembly workshop. More than 400 items of forming and assembly equipment and equipment have been purchased, commissioning works are underway," the report says.
The press service noted that the territory was landscaped and 14 buildings on the territory of the DMZ were reconstructed, including several production and auxiliary workshops - electroplating, mechanical assembly and carpentry, which will perform work for both enterprises.
"The effective capacity utilization of the DMZ will be carried out through the manufacture of ground control points of complexes with aircraft-type UAVs and helicopter-type UAVs, including gliders and the ground part. The assembly of the first complexes will begin in December," the press service noted.
The company stressed that the center will additionally create more than 1,500 jobs in the region.
