MOSCOW, Dec 21 - RIA Novosti. The President of Russia, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Putin on Tuesday, within the framework of the expanded board of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, examined new samples of domestic military equipment and means of control of military units.
The exhibition was organized at the National Defense Management Center of the Russian Federation in Moscow, where the board was held. The exposition was shown to the head of state by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. Footage of Putin's visit to the exhibition was shown by the Rossiya 24 TV channel.
The President, in particular, inspected the tactical terminal of the commander of the reconnaissance company (platoon), as well as the latest parachute landing systems. "This is the last thing that we have in service now... It lands at a great distance," Shoigu explained.
Putin was also shown a light special vehicle LSTS-1943 (buggy "Sarmat-2") for amphibious groups, designed for both the air force and the Marine Corps. The Sarmat-2 buggies were used this year during the Russian-Belarusian strategic exercises Zapad-2021.
