TSAMTO, December 21. The staffing of officer positions in the Russian army exceeded 96%. This year, an additional 13 thousand officers have been sent to the troops, the head of the military department, Army General Sergei Shoigu, said at an expanded meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"The number of contract servicemen has doubled the number of conscripts, 67% of them with higher or secondary vocational education.
In general, the demographic failure of previous years has been overcome. The staffing of the Armed Forces is 91%.
Today, the entire command staff of the Ground Forces, 92% of the flight crew, 58% of air defense specialists, 62% of the Navy have combat experience.
The long-term chronic problem with permanent housing has been solved. Since 2018, military personnel have been receiving it as planned. This year, more than 19.5 thousand people have been provided with permanent housing.
The pace of providing office housing is not decreasing. This year, 35 thousand people received apartments. Compensation for the rental of housing was paid to more than 64 thousand servicemen.
The absolute majority of military personnel support the activities of the state in the field of defense and trust the country's leadership."
