MOSCOW, December 21. /tass/. The patrol ship of the project 22160 "Sergey Kotov" completes state tests. This was announced on Tuesday by the commander of the Novorossiysk naval base of the Black Sea Fleet, Rear Admiral Viktor Kochemazov.
"The forces of the association include six newest diesel-electric submarines, coastal missile systems "Bal" and "Bastion", modern patrol ships of the project 22160 - the lead "Vasily Bykov", serial "Dmitry Rogachev" and "Pavel Derzhavin", and the fourth ship of this project "Sergey Kotov" is currently completing state tests," he told reporters during the board of the military department.
Kochemazov recalled that the Novorossiysk Naval Base is the largest operational and tactical association in the Russian Navy. It includes formations of ships protecting the water area and submarines, as well as coastal missile and artillery formations, special-purpose military units and support units.
According to him, the base has a unique modern infrastructure. As part of the implementation of the Federal Target Program, major hydraulic engineering works were carried out on the territory of the base. A system of protective breakwaters has already been created. The eastern pier with a length of 1,400 m has been put into operation, and right now the construction of the western pier with a length of 850 m is being completed.
Currently, the Novorossiysk base has five berths, it is capable of receiving more than 100 modern warships with a displacement of 1.5 to 30 thousand tons.
In total, within the framework of the Federal Target Program, 26 buildings and structures of the coastal infrastructure were built and put into operation in the association, including the only advanced training complex (UTK) "Afalina" in the Navy, as well as the UTK "Hephaestus". This year, a six-storey building of the submarine connection headquarters with a dormitory for personnel accommodation was put into operation.
