MOSCOW, December 21. /tass/. Serial attack robots were used on a large scale for the first time during the Zapad-2021 strategic exercises. This was announced on Tuesday by Russian Defense Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu at an expanded meeting of the board of the military department.
"The main event of the combat training was the joint Russian-Belarusian strategic exercise "West-2021". <...> For the first time, serial shock robotic complexes were used on a large scale in combat formations," he said.
Shoigu noted that the exercises demonstrated the ability of the created interspecific groups to effectively carry out tasks to ensure regional security.
In total, about 200 thousand military personnel were involved, including 2 thousand from the CSTO, SCO and other countries.
