"A landmark event for the industry in the past year was the approval of the state civil order program. By 2030, our enterprises must build more than a thousand aircraft," the minister said.
According to him, deliveries of the IL-114 short-haul passenger aircraft should start in 2023.
In December, the "Military-Industrial Courier" (MIC) in a publication called "The Country of Falling Planes" wrote that 2021 was a record year for Russia in terms of the number of plane crashes. "In 11 months, 31 plane crashes occurred - more than 100 people were killed," the publication calculated.
In August, the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) suspended test flights of a prototype Il-114 passenger aircraft after the crash of the Il-112B. A prototype of the newest Russian military transport aircraft IL-112B crashed on August 17 during a flight in the Moscow region. The incident occurred during a training flight. All three crew members were killed.
