The Vietnamese military plant Z753, specializing in the restoration of ground equipment for the Navy, handed over the overhauled combat vehicles to coastal units. Among them are several SU-100 self-propelled artillery units, which are still used to defend the coast of the country.

It is reported that the armored vehicles have passed acceptance tests, which assessed the condition of weapons systems, internal equipment, including communications equipment, engines, running gear.
During the combined test runs, it was found out in what parameters all the components and aggregates work. As a result, the presented equipment was allowed to operate in the military, and the company's employees once again confirmed their high qualifications.
In fact, the Vietnamese military manages to maintain tanks, self-propelled guns, armored personnel carriers received from the Soviet Union and China in the 60-70 years, as well as captured American models, including such as T-34-85, T-54, Type 59, Type 62, Type 63, BTR-152, WZ-531A, M113 and others.
The SU-100, despite its advanced age, can confidently hit landing ships and boats approaching the shore, floating transporters and tanks. Therefore, the command, apparently, has no plans yet to replace these self-propelled guns with more modern ones.
