Diversification will increase their technological capabilities, which means that it will improve the work on the main line.
"It is necessary, of course, to lend a shoulder to the enterprises of the military-industrial complex when solving issues of diversification," Vladimir Putin said. The interlocutor assured that this is a separate area of the bank's work. "This is exactly what medium and small businesses are," the president noted. "And we are also focusing on this," Fradkov said. - Now the diversification portfolio is 200 billion rubles."
"So you have it allocated in a separate direction?" - the president specified. "This is a separate area of our business. It is strongly connected with the defense industry," the head of Promsvyazbank confirmed. Putin asked about the assessment of the implementation of the tasks assigned to the defense industry in this sense and its pace. "We are conducting a special rating of companies' readiness for such work. In general, we see that enterprises finally understand that this is their natural habitat and development," the interlocutor noted. That is, not an imposed task, but a natural way to survive in the near future, "I mean the possibility of a "swing" - either in some areas of the state defense order, or the need to compete in civilian markets," he said. "We see that not all enterprises are ready to do this yet due to some personnel difficulties, on the one hand. On the other hand, the inability to compete on market conditions," Fradkov said. "On civilians," Putin added.
"It's not what they don't want, they may not always be able to do it, and we, including as a bank, in addition to purely financial instruments, are trying to develop non-financial support measures in order to help enterprises work in this direction in a focused way," the speaker explained.
