SEVASTOPOL, December 20. /tass/. The newest small rocket ship "Cyclone", which is planned to be included in the Black Sea Fleet, successfully performed artillery firing in the Black Sea during state tests, the press service of the Black Sea Fleet said on Monday.
"The crew of the newest small rocket ship "Cyclone" at the sea range of the Black Sea Fleet successfully tested artillery systems with artillery firing. Artillery firing was carried out as part of the state tests of the ship before its inclusion in the combat composition of the Black Sea Fleet," the report says.
It is clarified that the crew of the ship worked out the tasks together with the delivery team of the manufacturer. At sea, firing from artillery installations was carried out in normal mode, as well as at maximum angles of rotation and ascent by simulators of sea, coastal and air targets. In addition, in the conditions of the use of naval artillery, the equipment of the ship's in-ship control systems and ship armament was adjusted and coordinated.
The Cyclone is a ship of the Karakurt project, it is armed with a universal missile system with Kalibr missiles, an AK-176MA artillery installation, an anti-aircraft missile system Pantsir-M, large-caliber machine gun installations. The cruising range of the ship is 2,500 miles, the autonomy is 15 days.
