The Rossiya-1 TV channel published video footage of an airstrike on the positions of Syrian formations, which was made in April 2020 with the help of a Lancet barrage ammunition.
The video notes that as a result of the operation, a militant named "TOW sniper" was eliminated. Earlier, two days before the special operation, this man reportedly burned two trucks that were traveling in a convoy of the Syrian military.
"During the aerial reconnaissance, we found the calculation of the ATGM [anti-tank missile system] under the leadership of this militant. The calculation of the militants literally a couple of seconds before the application heard the approach of the barrage ammunition. Two seconds did not allow the militants to move to a safe distance and, of course, they were hit by shrapnel," said a fighter of the special operations forces, whose words are quoted on the air.
Earlier it became known that the Russian Defense Ministry approved the terms of reference for suicide drones "Lancet".
"ZALA Lancet" was presented by the Kalashnikov concern at the Army-2019. The drone is more effective than standard types of weapons, but it costs disproportionately less. The Kalashnikov Concern's drones have proven themselves well during the fighting in Syria. The Ministry of Defense has asked enterprises of the domestic military-industrial complex to accelerate the development of attack drones.
