Russian airliner MS-21-300 performed its first training flight at Irkutsk airport
The new Russian airliner MS-21-300 performed its first training flight at Irkutsk airport. This was announced on Thursday by the press service of the airport, RIA Novosti reports.
"For the first time, a Russian MS-21-300 airliner landed at Irkutsk International Airport," the report says. It is also indicated that the first training flight took place within the framework of certified control tests in the normal conditions of a civilian airport.
"The Russian airliner took off from Zhukovsky airport and, having covered more than 4,000 kilometers, landed in Irkutsk on December 15 at 19:30 (14:30 Moscow time)," the press service said.
During the control tests in Irkutsk, the crew of the aircraft tested the reliability of the engines, functional systems and equipment of the standard design airliner in conditions of further operation.
On December 1, Russia built the first MC-21-300 aircraft with a wing, which is made of composite materials of Russian production. The aircraft was transferred to the flight test unit. The aircraft was assembled at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant.
