Su-34 fighter-bombers launched a bomb attack from a height of about 400 meters on the artillery positions of a conditional enemy during the operational and combat training of the command staff of the Central Military District (CVO) at the Totsky training ground of the Orenburg region. This is stated in a message distributed on Thursday by the press service of the district.
"According to the flight assignment, the crews of four Su-34 aircraft performed a flight from the Chelyabinsk region and at an altitude of about 400 meters struck a bomb attack, using 250-kilogram high-explosive fragmentation bombs, at targets simulating artillery positions of a conditional enemy located at a training ground in the Orenburg region," the report says.
In addition, two pairs of Mi-24 attack helicopters struck with unguided air-to-surface missiles at the command post of a conditional enemy.
The operational and combat training of the Central Military District takes place from December 14 to 17 at the training ground in the Orenburg region under the general leadership of the commander of the Central Military District troops, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin. The event is attended by more than 300 military personnel from the command staff of the military district from the commander of the army to the commander of the regiment inclusive. As part of the gathering, generals and officers will study the organization and conduct of combat operations in conditions of active use by the enemy of special operations forces, sabotage and reconnaissance groups and actions of gangs, including in difficult climatic conditions.
