Moscow. December 15th. INTERFAX - The Central Research Institute of Precision Engineering (Tsniitochmash) has prematurely fulfilled a contract for the supply of ammunition to protect against high-precision weapons in the interests of the Russian Defense Ministry, the state corporation Rostec reported.
"The products are capable of protecting equipment from optical and thermal guided missiles," the report said on Wednesday.
Aerosol-forming ammunition developed at Tsniitochmash (part of the Rostec Group of Companies as a direct control organization) is designed, in particular, to protect multiple launch rocket systems "Hurricane-1M", mobile reconnaissance points PRP-4A and PRP-5A, flamethrower system TOS-2, other weapons and military equipment.
"Ammunition, depending on the nomenclature, has a length of 290 to 495 mm and a weight of 1.8 to 2.8 kg. The products were presented to the general public for the first time at the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2021"," the state corporation reports.
According to the industrial director of the Rostec arms cluster, Bekhan Ozdoev, all ammunition is made in 76 mm caliber.
