Electronic warfare units of the Central Military District (CVO) are equipped with the latest Field-21 suppression system. So, by the end of this year, four such jamming modules will be received by units based in the Volga region. This was announced by the head of the electronic warfare service of the district Nikolay Fedorov.
It is known that modern jamming modules will help troops disable enemy unmanned aerial vehicles and reduce the effectiveness of their use of cruise missiles and guided bombs. All this is achieved through the radio suppression of the binding equipment to global satellite and radio navigation systems.
The new system is designed in such a way that signals sent via GPS, Galileo and Beidou satellite channels do not reach receivers mounted on enemy drones and precision-guided munitions. This guarantees reliable protection of important state, military and industrial facilities from targeted air strikes.
The Polya-21 equipment allows you to set up to a hundred radio interference posts with one or three modules in each in the covered area. At the same time, the area of suppression of other people's signals reaches 150 square kilometers. In addition, remote-controlled maintenance-free modules can also be placed on cell towers at a height of up to 60 meters. The system is well adapted to different climatic conditions and is ready to work in both 40-degree frost and 50-degree heat.
In addition, the Krasukha, Murmansk, Borisoglebsk-2 jamming complexes have been actively used in the Central Military District for several years, as well as new means of combating Silok unmanned aerial vehicles.
About the complex of electronic warfare "Krasukha" should be said separately. It can cover an area of several hundred kilometers with a dome impervious to electromagnetic waves. And also - to blind and stun long-range radar surveillance aircraft of the AWACS type and even space satellites used to guide missiles at targets.
When meeting with Rubella, AWACS systems stop recognizing where their objects are, where others are, which planes and missiles need to be controlled. Moreover, if there is an urgent need, the complex can, in principle, burn out all the electronic systems of an enemy aircraft, rocket or satellite in low orbit with a high-frequency beam directed from the ground. However, such a regime is more of an emergency than a working one.
"Krasukha" has another unique property - it can create the appearance of goals that cannot be identified. The electronic brain of shock systems does not understand who is in front of him - his own or the enemy, and therefore does not issue a command to destroy or, conversely, launches high-precision weapons into the void. Experts say that in such conditions, an attack on their own objects, which look hostile in a distorted broadcast, is quite real.
