MOSCOW, December 14. /tass/. The Russian Ministry of Defense has supplied the Republic of Uganda with military engineering equipment, the ministry said.
"The Russian Ministry of Defense has delivered military products to the Republic of Uganda as part of the provision of military-technical assistance. The delivered property includes engineering equipment for various purposes," the department noted.
The Defense Ministry added that the Ugandan side plans to use this equipment for the repair, restoration and construction of roads in hard-to-reach areas of the country, as well as in the aftermath of natural disasters.
Uganda is one of Russia's strategic partners in Central Africa, "the supply of Russian engineering equipment will serve as another step in strengthening bilateral military and military-technical cooperation," the ministry noted.
