NOVOSIBIRSK, Dec 14 - RIA Novosti. The tactics of "nomadic" mortars based on Syrian combat experience were worked out by servicemen of the Central Military District during exercises at the Yurginsky training ground in the Kemerovo region, the press service of the Central Military District reported on Tuesday.
The mortar crews had to deliver a sudden blow to armored vehicles, manpower and positions of the conditional enemy. 2S12 "Sani" mortar complexes were used to strike targets.
"The peculiarity of using the tactics of "nomadic" mortars is the ability of calculations to change positions as quickly as possible. Mortars are installed in the back of the car, which significantly reduces the time of fire damage to the enemy. The mine is still in the air, and the car is already changing location. It is virtually impossible for a conditional opponent to calculate and destroy attacking positions," the message says.
Mortar crews in a short period of time hit about 80 targets simulating armored vehicles, manpower and enemy positions at a distance of 500 to 2000 meters. The search for targets and the correction of fire was carried out with the help of modern intelligence, control and communication complexes "Sagittarius" and complexes of unmanned aerial vehicles "Orlan-10".
"This tactic is used in the process of combat training by all artillery units of the association, based on the Syrian combat experience gained," the Central Military District noted.
More than 500 military personnel and about 40 units of military equipment were involved.
