YEKATERINBURG, December 14. /tass/. Uraltransmash (part of the Uralvagonzavod concern, part of Rostec) has completed the modernization of 203-millimeter Malka self-propelled howitzers for the Russian army, which are among the most powerful guns of their class in the world. Military equipment has been delivered to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the press service of the enterprise told reporters.
"Uraltransmash JSC, as part of the state defense order, completed the delivery of 203-millimeter 2S7M Malka self-propelled guns for the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation after major repairs with deep modernization," the report says.

"Malka" is an upgraded version of the 2C7 self-propelled cannon "Peony", developed in the 1980s and still considered one of the most powerful guns in the world. The main purpose of a self-propelled artillery installation is to defeat important enemy targets and objects in the tactical depth of defense behind the front line.
