More than half of the combat aviation is concentrated in ten countries of the world. The FlightGlobal analytical center released the World Air Forces 2022 report, in which it counted the composition of the Air Forces of all countries.
The United States has the most numerous air forces. Russia, China, India, South Korea and Japan follow with a big lag. The US Air Force accounts for a quarter of the total number of military aircraft in the world.

The US gap in the number of combat aircraft is slightly smaller — 19% of combat aircraft and helicopters. The gap in specialized aviation is more significant — 39% in the United States, and even all other countries together will not be able to compete with Americans among air tankers (77% of all fuel tankers in the world are part of the American Air Force):
