MOSCOW, Dec 13 - RIA Novosti. The Russian company Zala Aero (part of the Kalashnikov Group of companies) has published a video of tests of Lancet barrage ammunition from a marine carrier.
The video shows the launch of the Lancet barrage ammunition using a mechanical catapult from the board of the BK-16E high-speed assault boat.
The launch of the Zala reconnaissance drone from the boat is also shown, which then, after performing reconnaissance, lands on the shore. At the same time, the drone releases a parachute, and an airbag is inflated under its fuselage to prevent damage to the device during landing.
The return to shore of the Lancet barrage ammunition is not shown, since they do not have such a function. This is a class of weapons that can fly for a long time in the intended target area while in search mode.
When a target is detected, such a drone strikes it as an air-to-surface guided missile, completely destroying itself. If the drone does not find the target, it self-destructs.
The Lancet was developed by Zala Aero on an initiative basis. The company is the only one in Russia today that produces weapons of this class.
