The strategic reconnaissance aircraft Boeing RC-135 Rivet Joint of the US Air Force approached the Donbass. The corresponding data is provided on Saturday, December 11, by the Flightradar aviation monitoring website.
At 12:52 Moscow time, the plane was near the demarcation line in the Donbass. Based on the map of his movements, he began his flight from the north-west of Ukraine, after which he headed to the central part of the country, and then to the Donbass.
According to the publication "Country.UA", the aircraft can conduct reconnaissance in the area of the contact line.
Earlier, on December 9, the Center for Public Relations of the FSB of the Russian Federation reported that the control ship "Donbass" of the Ukrainian Navy, located in the waters of the Sea of Azov, was moving towards the Kerch Strait, approaching it by 18 nautical miles. The ministry stressed that these actions created a threat to the safety of navigation. Later, the ship went on a reverse course.
At the same time, on the same day, the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that NATO, violating the principle of indivisibility of security, has been consistently moving east all these years. Two days before that, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that after being accepted into NATO, weapons threatening Russia could be deployed in Ukraine.
Since 2014, the Kiev authorities have been conducting a military operation against the residents of Donbass, who refused to recognize the results of the coup and the new government in Ukraine. At the same time, Kiev blames Moscow for the current situation. Russia has repeatedly stated that it is not a party to the internal Ukrainian conflict.
