The British celebrate the return of the flagship of the Royal Navy from its first combat deployment. In six months, the aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth and its strike group have covered 49,000 nautical miles, making a trip across three oceans and five seas.
During this time, the sailors consumed "more than 355,000 pints of milk, at least 2 million eggs and 200 tons of potatoes." Also, since going to sea, the aircraft carrier's aircraft have covered at least 40 times the distance equivalent to a round-the-world trip and made more than 3,000 deck landings, 1,000 of them at night.
