Interfax: tests of the T-14 Armata with new shells will be completed in 2022
The promising T-14 tank on the Armata tracked platform will receive new shells. The tank with the new ammunition is being tested. Andrey Yelchaninov, First Deputy chairman of the Board of the Military-Industrial Commission (MIC) of Russia, said this in an interview with Interfax .
Yelchaninov noted that the tank received new ammunition. "The tests are continuing. This year, the new ammunition for the tank also entered state tests. We expect them to be completed in full in 2022. More than 40 Armata tanks will be transferred to the troops after 2023," Yelchaninov said.
The representative of the military-industrial complex board noted that the re-equipment of troops on the Armata tank will be phased. New vehicles will replace tanks of previous generations as their service life expires.
