Russian engineers are developing a whole line of unmanned underwater vehicles. In the near future, samples should appear that will be able to move in the World Ocean at a distance of up to 1000 kilometers from the dive site.
This was announced in an interview with Interfax by the first deputy chairman of the Board of the Military-Industrial Commission of Russia Andrey Yelchaninov.
He clarified that Russia now has entire rescue systems designed to work during an emergency with submarines. Vehicles with crew rescue functions have already been purchased for the fleet. In general, work on the modernization of this type of equipment continues.
We will remind, earlier it was reported that by the end of this year the Russian military will receive three nuclear-powered vessels, including a special-purpose submarine "Belgorod". It should become the first carrier of Poseidon underwater drones that can be equipped with nuclear warheads.
