The commander of the Soyuz MS-20 spacecraft, TASS correspondent cosmonaut Alexander Misurkin, will conduct experiments in orbit in the interests of Russian science. This was reported to TASS on Wednesday by the Deputy Director for Science of the Institute of Biomedical Problems (IMBP) RAN Oleg Kotov.
"Alexander Misurkin will partially participate in the scientific program, will perform a biomedical experiment, not very laborious, but nevertheless he will conduct an experiment in the interests of Russian science," he said.
Earlier, two space tourists from Japan went into orbit on the Soyuz MS-20 spacecraft. It is planned that Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa and his business assistant Yozo Hirano, as well as the commander of the spacecraft, TASS cosmonaut correspondent Alexander Misurkin, will stay on the ISS for 12 days.
TASS and Roscosmos signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on November 17, which implies the creation of an agency office on the International Space Station (ISS). The first correspondent of TASS in orbit will be the Hero of Russia cosmonaut of Roscosmos Alexander Misurkin.
