The head of the company's representative office in Russia, Sergey Kostenko, noted that the implementation of such a flight is a matter of time
MOSCOW, December 8. /tass/. Russian entrepreneurs express interest in visiting space, the implementation of such a flight is a matter of time. This opinion was expressed during the broadcast of the launch of the Soyuz MS-20 manned spacecraft on the Roscosmos-TV channel by the head of the Space Adventures representative office in Russia, Sergey Kostenko.
"I talked to a person from the top 20 business on the topic of space flight. I've been talking for a long time, in the early noughties. I understand what motivates people, and I can say for sure that Russian guys really want to fly into space. Of course they will. It's a matter of some time," Kostenko said.
He noted that there are many Russian entrepreneurs who want to visit space, but due to the strong employment in business and the fact that we have a fairly dynamic country, it is difficult for many of them to break away from business and fly into space. "Because space flight carries quite a lot of risks, I think this is the main reason why Russian wealthy entrepreneurs do not fly," he explained.
On December 8, at 10:38 Moscow time, the launch of the Soyuz MS-20 spacecraft with the participants of the 20th expedition to the International Space Station is scheduled from the Baikonur cosmodrome. The main crew includes the commander of the spacecraft, Russian cosmonaut, TASS special correspondent Alexander Misurkin and two space tourists from Japan - entrepreneur Yusaku Maezawa and his assistant Yozo Hirano.
