The Russian army is mastering the updated giant self-propelled guns. On December 7, the press service of Uralvagonzavod reported that the first batch of 203-mm self-propelled guns 2S7M "Malka" was transferred to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
"As part of the fulfillment of the state defense order, Uralvagonzavod delivered 203-mm self-propelled guns 2S7M "Malka" after major repairs with deep modernization. Gearboxes, distribution mechanisms and power supply units have been replaced in the product, monitoring devices, as well as internal communication equipment and a radio station have been updated," the press service of Uralvagonzavod reported.

The first self-propelled gun 2S7M "Malka" was transferred to the Russian army in 2020. Now the Ministry of Defense has received the first batch of 2C7 "Peony" ordered for modernization. The 2S7M Malka is an upgraded version of the 2S7 Peony, considered one of the most powerful artillery pieces in the world. The 203 mm cannon can fire various projectiles, including concrete-cutting and chemical ones. One of the features of the gun is the ability to use special ammunition with a nuclear charge.
