Moscow. December 8th. INTERFAX - A Soyuz-2 rocket and a head fairing for launching OneWeb spacecraft have been delivered to the Baikonur cosmodrome, according to the website of the Center for the Operation of Ground-based Space Infrastructure Facilities on Wednesday.
"Specialists of the Yuzhny Space Center (a branch of the Center for the Operation of Ground-based Space Infrastructure Facilities, part of the Roscosmos State Corporation) received a train with Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle blocks and a head fairing. The train has arrived at the Tyuratam railway station," the message reads.
According to them, a container with a head fairing was transported to the installation and testing building of the cosmodrome site No. 112 for storage, the launch vehicle blocks were delivered to the MIC of site No. 31 and unloaded to the workplace.
"In accordance with the comprehensive schedule of work, the regular preparation of the launch vehicle will begin on December 9," the Center added.
