ROSTOV-ON-DON, Dec 6 - RIA Novosti. The command staff of the Southern Military District will consider the issues of covert and operational redeployment of troops at the operational mobilization gathering, Vadim Astafyev, head of the press service of the Southern Military District, told reporters.
The operational mobilization gathering under the leadership of the district Commander Alexander Dvornikov will be held for the first time with the participation of commanders of formations and military units up to and including regimental commanders. More than 300 officers and generals will be involved in the methodical classes, which will be held in the videoconference mode. As part of the gathering, a command and staff war game will also be organized, during which its participants will conduct a conditional defensive operation as part of the combat control center of the training group of troops.
"The creation of reconnaissance and strike complexes simultaneously in several operational areas should take place as soon as possible, while including high-precision weapons of aviation, navy, missile forces and rocket artillery," he quoted Dvornikov as saying.
This approach, for example, will make it possible to ensure the sudden appearance of divisions of Iskander tactical complexes, Bal coastal missile systems or Tornado-S MLRS rocket divisions in the threatened direction. In addition, the system of combat training of gunners and anti-aircraft gunners of the Southern Military District has introduced issues of improving the skills of applying fire damage from unprepared positions, which will significantly increase their effectiveness, Astafyev noted.
