The Air Force of the Republic of China (Taiwan) received the first combat training aircraft T-5 Brave Eagle. The car was developed on the basis of the light fighter F-SK-1 Ching-kuo.
The creation of a new combat training aircraft is one of the key defense programs of Taiwan, opening the way to the independence of the island republic from the supply of American equipment and weapons.
As it became known, the program passed one of the key stages: the Taiwan Air Force received the first serial winged vehicle. She arrived at Taitung Air Base (Chihan) as part of the 7th Training Aviation Wing of the Air Force.

The aircraft was developed by the Taiwanese Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC). It is based on the light fighter F-SK-1 Ching-kuo, which was discontinued in 1999.
In contrast, the novelty does not have a radar station and cannon armament, but boasts a reinforced chassis and an increased fuel reserve. The basis of the power plant is two F124-200TW engines.
Another important area for Taipei is the construction of its own ships. Recall that this year the Republic of China armed itself with the first corvette catamaran of the Tuo Jiang II project.
