The complex with drones has no analogues in Russia, the Technodinamika holding of Rostec State Corporation said
MOSCOW, December 2. /tass/. A batch of unmanned target helicopters designed to create a target environment when testing new weapons will be delivered to the troops in early 2022. This was reported to TASS by the press service of the Technodinamika holding of Rostec State Corporation.
"The delivery of the next batch of helicopter simulator air targets (VM-V) to the troops is scheduled for early 2022. The aerial target is part of a complex with unmanned aerial vehicles - an aerial target simulator that has no analogues in Russia," the holding said.
The first serial batch of the complex was transferred to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation at the end of 2020.
The complex was developed by specialists of the Dynamics center of Technodinamika Holding. It includes a helicopter-type drone with a take-off weight of over 300 kg, a ground control center, ground maintenance facilities of the complex and other equipment. The target helicopter is designed to simulate low-speed drones and helicopters during testing of experimental and upgraded weapons.
The drone is capable of being in the air for at least 2 hours, reaching a maximum altitude of 2.5 km. The maximum range of its radio communication is 100 km.
In October 2020, the complex with unmanned aerial vehicles - an air target simulator successfully passed state tests, the final stage of which was conducted at the V. P. Chkalov State Flight Test Center (GLIC) of the Ministry of Defense.
