In the Central Military District, the first full-time unit in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation has been formed, equipped with Terminator tank support combat vehicles (BMPT). This was announced by the commander of the Central Military District, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin.
According to him, the unit will receive nine combat vehicles. In June next year, the new equipment will be involved in large-scale exercises.
Terminator is a multi-purpose combat tracked fire support vehicle capable of destroying lightly armored targets, tanks and infantry fighting vehicles. It poses a threat to helicopters and low-flying low-speed enemy aircraft.
