An updated commander's T-64BVK was demonstrated at the Kharkov Armored Plant. It is reported that this upgraded model of equipment has already been successfully tested. It is designed to control tank units and brigade-battalion level units.

So, outdated surveillance devices were replaced with more modern ones, a television system was introduced that allows you to see what is happening in the rear hemisphere. The gunner-operator received a thermal night sight.
Satellite navigation equipment has been introduced, a new radio station has been installed, and internal communication and switching equipment has been replaced.
Previously, anti-aircraft machine guns were not installed on the "sixty-fourth" of this modification, now this drawback has been eliminated and the commander's turret now flaunts a 12.7-mm NSVT "Utes" with an armored shield equipped with a surveillance camera with a detection range of up to 2000 meters.
Additional rubber-metal screens, anti-accumulative grilles also appeared, the protection of fuel tanks was strengthened and an additional coarse filter of the fuel system of the boiler-heater was introduced.
As can be seen in the pictures, outwardly the commander's version is distinguished by the presence of three antennas at once.
It is reported that similar measures will be implemented on conventional T-64BV currently undergoing repair.
It is surprising that the tank at the final tests was presented in a somewhat unfinished form - for some reason there was no proper dynamic protection on the upper frontal part and on the sides.
