TSAMTO, December 1. Servicemen of the 58th combined arms army of the South Ossetia in North Ossetia began the school year with classes on a modern mobile integrated simulator MKT-188A of the crew of the T-90A tank.
A special feature of the MKT-188A simulator is the separate layout of the driver's training place and the combat compartment of the vehicle, which allows for separate training of driver mechanics, gunners and machine commanders, as well as their joint training. In addition, it is possible to combine these simulators into a single complex (a single virtual space) and conduct combat coordination of units as part of combat vehicle crews on them.
The training of crews takes place without the consumption of ammunition, motor resources and fuel and lubricants. The software of the MKT-188A simulator allows you to create a tactical situation of any complexity. It forms a virtual combat space in which the simulation of armed confrontation is carried out taking into account the time of year and day, the state of weather conditions, geographical and climatic characteristics of the training area.
The complex can simultaneously simulate up to 15 different targets (tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, self-propelled artillery installations) at a range of 100 to 4 thousand meters, moving at speeds up to 60 km/h.
The simulator allows the gunner and the crew commander to work out target reconnaissance, shooting from the spot, in motion and from short stops at emerging and moving targets, low-flying aerial targets, and participate in a tank duel. The new equipment gives the driver the opportunity to work out the preparation of the car for movement, starting the engine under various weather conditions, overcoming natural and artificial obstacles, working with communication devices and controls of the driver's department.
The simulator's capabilities allow the instructor to automatically fix the student's mistakes, maintain speech communication with him, and hear the sounds of the machine.
Upon completion of training on the MKT-188A complex simulator, the servicemen will perform control exercises on standard equipment in the field, the press service of the Southern Military District reports.
