MOSCOW, Dec 1 - RIA Novosti. Airborne troops (airborne troops) will hold a new academic year under the motto "tactical surprise and combat initiative troops," the Russian Defense Ministry told reporters.
The new academic year will begin in the Armed Forces on December 1 and will end on November 30, 2022.
"Today, the Airborne troops have started training for the new academic year. Combat training events in the new academic year will be held as part of improving the level of tactical training of military units under the motto: "Airborne troops are troops of tactical surprise and combat initiative," the Defense Ministry noted.
According to the ministry, "the main efforts will be focused on training troops to practice actions in all strategic directions."
In particular, in July, tactical maneuvers will be held with the Guards airborne assault regiment of the Pskov compound at the Strugi Krasnye training ground in the Pskov region under the leadership of the commander of the Airborne Forces.
"In total, about 100 training events for management bodies have been planned next year, including command and staff exercises with divisions, brigades and regiments of all formations of Airborne troops," the Defense Ministry noted.
In addition, in 2022, the Airborne Forces will re-equip several airborne assault and artillery units with modern equipment, equip new Blue Sedge training grounds in the Ivanovo region and Starokrymsky in the Crimea, and take part in the Army International Games "ARMI-2022".
The ministry clarified that in December of this year, the formation of the third airborne assault regiment of the Novorossiysk compound will be completed, and a new Kolomenskoye training ground (Ryazan region) will also be put into operation Tula connection.
