Moscow. November 30th. INTERFAX - The Board of Directors of PJSC Irkut Corporation prematurely terminated the powers of the current CEO Ravil Khakimov and elected Andrei Boginsky instead.
"To elect Andrey Ivanovich Boginsky as CEO of PJSC Irkut Corporation for a period from December 1, 2021 to November 30, 2024," the company said in a statement following a meeting of the board held on Tuesday.
Boginsky previously headed Russian Helicopters JSC for about five years (like Irkut is part of Rostec), before that he held the post of deputy head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
In parallel, Boginsky will receive the post of Deputy General Director for Civil Aviation of PJSC United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), which includes Irkut, the media wrote earlier with reference to sources. The Board of Directors of Irkut has agreed to combine Boginsky's positions "in the management bodies of other organizations," in which it is not specified.
Khakimov has been the head of Irkut since April 2019, before that he was the head of the Aviation Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
