The development of a parachute for a reusable launch vehicle will begin next year. This was announced by Technodinamika Holding.
In Russia, they are increasingly talking about creating a reusable carrier. Today, TASS, with reference to the Technodinamika holding, announced the timing of the start of work on the parachute for the rocket.
It is reported that the start of research work on the system is scheduled for 2022. Their result will be a technical task for development work.
The agency reminds that Russia is currently developing a reusable carrier "Amur". The agreement on the creation of a draft design of the Roscosmos rocket complex and the Progress Rocket and Space Center was signed last year.
Presumably, Amur will replace Soyuz-2 after 2026. The new rocket will be able to launch more than 10 tons of payloads into low Earth orbit.
Recall that in November it became known that the Russian space agency ordered engines for testing a reusable rocket demonstrator, which they want to equip with a winged stage.
Even earlier it was reported that the prototype of the reusable stage "Krylo-SV" is planned to be created next year. After the launch, they intend to plant it "by plane".
