20 conscripts from Kaliningrad will go to serve in the scientific and production company of the Baltic Fleet.
Two dozen young men living in the Kaliningrad Region were selected for the special purpose company as part of the autumn draft, the Military-Industrial Courier was told in the information support department of the press service of the Western Military District for the BF.
All young people enrolled in this unit have higher and secondary specialized education. For the region, this is the seventh dispatch of citizens to the scientific and production company of the Baltic Fleet (the first such team was formed in December 2018).
Military personnel of the scientific and production company of the Baltic Fleet serve at the Baltic Shipbuilding plant "Yantar", working as shipbuilders, ship pipeliners and welders. They are located on the basis of a division of BF ships under construction and under repair.
It should be noted that such units are created on the basis of defense enterprises, research institutions and higher military educational institutions. Currently, there are more than 20 scientific and scientific production companies in the Armed Forces.
