Cadets and teachers of the Air Force Academy in Voronezh showed their new development, a reconnaissance robot disguised as a stone. The video of the device tests was published by Zvezda.
The covert surveillance complex is equipped with a motion sensor and is activated when it is triggered. The battery charge lasts for 15 hours of collecting, processing and transmitting information to the operator, who can be located within a radius of two kilometers, the academy said.
The robot is equipped with a miniature video camera, a crawler and is able to change position. As a possible use of it, military scientists called intelligence during a positional war, when the neutral zone is under vigilant control and is shot through by snipers.
Work on the spy stone lasted three years.
