TSAMTO, November 26. In the topographic part of the Eastern Military District, stationed in the Republic of Buryatia, a unique mobile digital technological system PCTS-1 "Volynets" has been adopted.
The main purpose of the system is to solve the problems of topogeodesic support using digital technologies for transmitting, processing and storing information about the terrain.
The modules of the system are mounted on the Ural-532361 automobile chassis of increased capacity with container bodies and trailers with container bodies. The modules are equipped with appropriate technological equipment and industrial furniture.
The system, in addition to topographic and polygraphic modules, includes a life support module for personnel to carry out topological support and binding activities in the field. In addition, each module is equipped with an autonomous power supply from electric generator sets.
Compared with previous models of weapons, the mobile PCTS-1 system constructively provides for the solution of an extensive list of tasks, including the rapid creation and updating of geoinformation documents, analysis and assessment of terrain, and the reproduction of digital information. At the same time, the deadlines for tasks performed with the required quality of data processing have significantly decreased, the press service of the Eastern Military District reports.
