The new academic year, which starts in the Armed Forces on December 1, the marines of the Pacific Fleet will begin, among other things, with the development of a modern small-sized robotic intelligence system 1K144 "Sectarian". The first batch of such equipment was received by a Marine unit stationed in Primorye.
The press service of the Eastern Military District said that the Sectarian multimonitoring complex belongs to a new generation of intelligence and alarm systems. The complex is able to determine the amount of equipment and its type, the number of moving people, as well as to give coordinates and direction of movement of objects. It can provide information in combat conditions using various types of sensors - seismic, magnetometric, as well as infrared devices.
"Sectarian" also adjusts itself to the level of background noise. This complex is unobtrusive, weatherproof and resistant to mechanical damage. The explosion of a projectile at five meters will not interfere with the work of the "Sectarian". And a wide range of operating temperatures allows the robotic system to be operated in all climatic conditions of the Far East.
The size of the "Sectarian" does not exceed 20 centimeters, the weight, depending on the configuration, ranges from 150 to 600 grams. The device is installed underground and is actually under the feet of the enemy. Information about it, including the number of moving fighters, information about whether they are armed or not, the robot is able to transmit to a portable operator console or an automated workplace from a distance of up to 15 kilometers. The continuous operation time of the complex is 30 days. He can "see" from under the ground even a helicopter flying at a low altitude.
Last year, 10 sets of small-sized robotic reconnaissance system 1K144 "Sectarian" received landing units in Ulan-Ude and Ussuriysk. Now it's the turn of the Pacific Fleet Marines.
