MOSCOW, November 23/ Sputnik Radio. The crew of the Russian submarine Veliky Novgorod carried out the laying of mines as part of tactical exercises in the Black Sea, writes Argumenti.ru with reference to the press service of the Southern Military District.
"The installation of underwater minefields is an obligatory element of the cycle of combat training of submarine crews," the representatives of the military district stressed.
During the exercises, the crew of the diesel-electric submarine, accompanied by the Kovrovets minesweeper, had to secretly install minefields on the route of the ships of the conditional enemy.
