Moscow. November 21. INTERFAX - Diesel-electric submarine "Stary Oskol" has set a course to return to its home base after performing a deep-sea dive and practicing other combat training tasks in the Black Sea.
"The crew of the Stary Oskol submarine conducted in-ship exercises to combat survivability, control the submarine in surface and underwater positions," the Black Sea Fleet (Black Sea Fleet) said in a statement on Sunday.
The algorithm of actions for diving to various depths in the drift and on the move has also been worked out. The maximum diving depth was more than 240 meters.
While going to sea, the submariners conducted joint exercises with naval aviation and anti-submarine ships of the Black Sea Fleet, performed tasks in underwater and surface positions, worked out elements of urgent and regular dives and "laying the submarine on the ground," the fleet informs.
The Stary Oskol submarine is the third in a series of six submarines of Project 636.3 built for the Black Sea Fleet at Admiralty Shipyards (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation). After completing the tests, in the summer of 2016, she made an inter-fleet crossing from Polyarny (Murmansk region) to Sevastopol.
