Blagoveshchensk. November 19. INTERFAX-FAR EAST - Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov held a meeting at the Vostochny cosmodrome in the Amur Region and, following its results, demanded that Roscosmos and other responsible structures monitor compliance with legislation during the construction of facilities on a daily basis.
"Krasnov, in particular, pointed out that the problems accompanying the construction of the cosmodrome require the management of the Roscosmos State Corporation, as well as all interested bodies and organizations, to take comprehensive measures to overcome them as soon as possible, increase the demand and responsibility of performers, daily monitoring of their elimination," the press service of the supervisory authority reports.
The interdepartmental meeting was attended by Maxim Ovchinnikov, Acting Director General of the Roscosmos State Corporation, the management of the cosmodrome directorate, representatives of the state construction supervision and key contracting organizations. They discussed issues of legality during the construction of the first and second stages of the cosmodrome. The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation has strengthened interdepartmental cooperation in this area.
"The Prosecutor's Office will continue to strictly monitor compliance with the law during the construction of the cosmodrome, since maintaining a leading position in the space sector is the most important task of the state and its solution depends, among other things, on you and me," Krasnov stressed during the meeting.
The Prosecutor General reminded the audience that the cosmodrome is the largest national project that requires not only an unprecedented amount of funding, but also, in fact, the daily interested participation in its implementation of a significant number of state bodies, enterprises and organizations of various forms of ownership.
He noted that information on the construction of the cosmodrome is constantly reported to the president.
"This highest level of control requires equally high responsibility in relation to the execution of the tasks set," the Prosecutor General said.
